Objects and Features of the Invention A primary object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus and method of the type defined above which automatically stretches a saw chain upon automatic grinding of the saw chain. Yet another object of the present invention is to synchronize feed and stretching so that they do not interfere with each other. A further object of the present invention is that the device can be mounted on existing devices for automatic grinding of saw chains. At least the primary object of the present invention is realized by means of a device and a method which have obtained the features stated in the following independent claims. Preferred embodiments of the invention are defined in the dependent claims. Brief Description of the Drawings Hereinafter, a number of embodiments of the invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Fig. 1 shows a front view of a device according to the present invention mounted on a schematically shown device for automatic grinding of saw chains; Fig. 2 shows in front view a detail of the device according to Fig. 1; Fig. 3 shows a front view of a first alternative embodiment of a device according to the present invention which is mounted on a schematically shown device for automatic grinding of saw chains; Fig. 4 shows in front view a detail of the device according to Fig. 3; Fig. 5 shows a front view of a second alternative embodiment of a device according to the present invention which is mounted on a schematically shown device for automatic grinding of saw chains; Fig. 6 shows in front view a detail of the device according to Fig. 5; Detailed Description of Preferred Embodiments of the Invention The device schematically shown in Fig. 1 for automatic grinding of saw chains comprises parallel chain rulers L which support a part of the saw chain S to be ground. The chain rulers L are arranged at a certain mutual distance and in the space formed parts of the drive links of the saw chain S are accommodated. As can be seen from Fig. 1, the saw chain S is infinite, i.e. it forms a closed loop, the saw chain S defining a plane which normally constitutes a vertical plane. Above the part of the saw chain S which is supported by the chain rulers L is arranged a grinding member O which in the case shown consists of a grinding wheel. In this context it should be pointed out that in the device schematically shown above for automatic grinding of a saw chain S, the rulers L have a straight upper edge against which the saw chain S abuts. However, there are also devices where the rulers have a curved upper edge against which a saw chain abuts. The device according to the present invention for stretching a saw chain also works with rulers with a curved upper edge. The device according to the present invention is mounted below the chain rulers L, the device comprising a vertically extending tube 1 which is anchored in the device for automatic grinding in a suitable manner. A sleeve 3 included in the device according to the present invention is mounted on the tube 1 and slidable along the tube 1, whereby the sleeve 3 can be fixed by means of a locking member 5 at any height of the tube 1. The reason why the sleeve 3 is slidable along the tube 1 is thereby adaptation to saw chains S with different lengths on the circumference. A support arm 7 is pivotally attached via a joint 6 to an upper portion of the sleeve 3, the support arm 7 generally being pivotable in a vertical plane. Mounted on the support arm 7 is a carrier member in the form of a wheel 9, the wheel 9 being rotatably mounted on the support arm 7 and in an intermediate portion of the support arm 7. The periphery of the wheel 9 is designed so that it can fully cooperate with the saw chain S when it abuts against a portion of the periphery of the wheel 9. At its end facing away from the sleeve 3, the support arm 7 is, via a first joint 10, more precisely articulated connected to a free end of one connected to a pressure medium cylinder 11, piston rod 12 of the pressure medium cylinder 11. Generally, the pressure medium cylinder 11 occupies a vertical position. The end of the pressure medium cylinder 11 facing away from the free end of the piston rod 12 is connected via a second joint 13 to a free end of a strut 14 which is fixedly connected to a lower part of the sleeve 3. A line 8 supplies pressure medium, normally compressed air, to the pressure medium cylinder 11. By studying Figs. 1 and 2, it will be appreciated that if the piston rod 12 is pushed into the housing of the pressure medium cylinder 11, a stretching / tensioning of the saw chain S will take place because the wheel 9 will move away from the rulers L. For exemplary and non-limiting purposes, force which on active stretching / tension of the saw chain ”is normally in the range 400-800 N. By using a suitable control and regulating means, the tension / tension is activated only during the time that fixing of the saw chain S relative to the rulers L takes place, the grinding means O performing grinding of the saw chain S when it is fixed relative to the rulers L, which is done by clamping the rulers L around the part of the drive links of the saw chain S which is located between the rulers L. Activation of the stretching takes place by sending an activation signal to the pressure medium cylinder 11 when the saw chain S is fixed relative to the rulers L. When the fixing of the saw chain S relative to the rulers L ceases, a deactivation signal is sent to the pressure medium cylinder 11, this means that the pressure on the piston rod 12 ceases or is reduced. There is no longer any active stretching of the saw chain S or alternatively that there is a stretch down a significantly lower force which does not prevent feed of the saw chain S. For exemplary and non-limiting purposes it can be mentioned that the residual force which tightens / stretches the chain when deactivation has taken place usually in the range 10-50 N. When the stretching / tension of the saw chain S is deactivated, advancement of the saw chain S can take place relative to the rulers L so that the saw chain S assumes a new position for grinding. Thereafter, fixing of the saw chain S relative to the rulers L takes place again and the stretching function of the saw chain S is activated by pushing the piston rod 12 into the housing of the pressure medium cylinder 11. By cyclically repeating the method described above, grinding of the saw chain S is kept stretched while grinding of selected parts of the saw chain S takes place. In Fig. The device according to the present invention. 3 and 4 show an alternative embodiment of This embodiment differs from the embodiment according to Figs. 1 and 2 by the constructive design of the carrier means. Other components of the device are in 1 and 2, so these identical components have been assigned the same 1 and 2. The carrier means comprises a first wheel 109A and a second wheel 109B, a rod 115 extending between the first wheel 109A and the second wheel 109B. The first wheel 109A is rotatably attached to the support arm 7 and the second principle is identical to the embodiment according to Fig. Reference numerals as in Fig. The wheel 10B is rotatably attached to the free end of the rod 115. A guide arrangement 116 between the rod 115 and the rod 14 ensures that the rod 115 occupies a vertical position. The embodiment shown in Figs. 3 and 4 can thus handle saw chains S of extremely different lengths, the second wheel 10B being used with very long saw chains S. The synchronization of the stretching of the saw chain when the saw chain S is fixed relative to the chain rulers L takes place in a corresponding manner as has been described above in connection with the embodiments according to Figs. 1 and 2. In Fig. Embodiment of the device according to the present invention, 5 and 6, a further alternative is shown in which the pressure medium cylinder 211 is generally oriented horizontally. The pressure medium cylinder 211 is fixedly connected to a sleeve 203 and the free end of the piston rod 212 is pivotally connected via a first link 210 to a support arm 207 which carries a wheel 209 which is rotatably supported by the support arm 207. The support arm 207 facing away from the first link 210 is via a second joint 206 pivotally connected to an upper part of the sleeve 203. By studying Figs. 5 and 6 it will be understood that when the piston rod 212 is displaced into the housing of the pressure medium cylinder 211 a stretching / tensioning of the saw chain S will take place. and as the piston rod 212 is displaced out of the housing of the pressure medium cylinder 211, the saw chain S will be slackened. The synchronization of the stretching of the saw chain when the saw chain S is fixed relative to the chain rulers L takes place in a corresponding manner as has been described above in connection with the embodiments according to Figs. 1 and 2. Possible modifications of the invention In the above-described embodiments of the device according to the present invention, the carrier means is constituted by a rotatable wheel 9. Within the scope of the present invention, the carrier means need not be constituted by a rotatably mounted component. It is conceivable that the carrier means consists of a disc-shaped non-rotatable member which is provided with a groove on the side of the carrier member which faces the saw chain S. When the stretching function is deactivated, the saw chain S can slide relative to the carrier means in connection with the feed chain S being fed. In the above-described embodiments of the device according to the present invention, a pressure medium cylinder is used to effect activation and deactivation of the tensioning function of the saw chain S. However, within the scope of the present invention it is conceivable to use an electric motor provided with an eccentric shaft. wherein this eccentric acts on the carrier means so that it assumes an activated position where stretching of the saw chain S takes place resp. a deactivated position where the saw chain S is slackened to enable easy feeding of the saw chain S.
